This is a short visual novel made in Ren'Py that is based on the song Guest by Gavin Castleton.

No jump scares.

This should take 10-15 minute for a playthrough. There is a second, more obscure ending to get. Good luck!

12/11/2024 - I lied - it's been almost 2 years since I made this game. this was my first Ren'Py project and my first "real" game, and I'm so proud of making it. it has been nagging at me though, for the past long, long while, that I used Midjourney to create these images. when I made this, I didn't realize the resources or things I could really do to make games, and over the course of making Start Running and In The Foundations, I really grew enough to come back to this in order to just spend an hour removing any AI created work from it. I made no further improvements/corrections to content or gameplay.

2/27/2023 - added v1.2 to change the GUI and add the splash screen to match Pet, which will release soon (this is definitely the final update)

2/11/2023 - added v1.1 to change the music to a song I wrote specifically for this game.

Appreciate the love, thank you!

really love your art, also i make a video gameplay about your game, it really great, thank so much for making this

thank you! It’s all AI art that I’ve done a lot of post processing on. I am glad you liked it!

Short suspenseful story with some decent choices, would love to see more!

thank you, Thomas!

Short, but suitably creepy. It felt like the concept could definitely be expanded on.

thank you! I didn’t want to stray too far from the source as this is the first completed VN I’ve made.
